Individual Assignment
See Blackboard for due date.
Last week your boss had you create a job acceptance letter for John Franks. This week, she has asked you to write a letter to the other candidate letting him know that he was not selected.
Create a letter using the indirect approach letting Jack Spratt know that he was not selected for the position of Electrical Engineer. The department manager was looking for someone with more team leadership experience. While Jack had great expertise, the department manager was looking for someone with a minimum of three years of supervisory experience.
Jack’s info:
Jack Spratt
5432 Union Square Street
Anywhere, ID 12346
Your boss wants you to let Jack know that the company is expecting to expand into Oregon next fiscal year and will need to hire several more Electrical Engineers at that time. He might be well suited for one of those positions.
Use the letter head you created for last week’s assignment. Put your name as a CC: at the bottom of the letter. Your boss’s name is Jeanne Greene and her title is Hiring Manager in the Human Resources Department.
Print off your letter and the samples letters below
I attached sample of letter and solution of the above situation as well.
